Executive Profiles

Dennis Weese

President

Dennis Weese joined LINE-X LLC in May 2015 as president. Prior to joining LINE-X, Weese served as the president and COO of Retail Services Division at Cash America International, a publicly traded company on the NYSE {CSH}. Cash America International is a provider of specialty financial services in the United States. Weese’s responsibilities included oversight and management of all of Cash America’s store-front operations, in addition to a number of functional areas including training, human resources, marketing, and business development.

Prior to joining the company, Weese has also held various leadership positions with companies such as PepsiCo, Limited and Brinker International. In addition to field leadership positions he has also served in a number of functional areas including training and finance. Before beginning his corporate career, Weese served as a commissioned officer and helicopter pilot in the United States Army. Weese currently serves as an Advisory Council Member for the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. He is also a board member of West Point Optical Group. Weese has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the United States Military Academy, and has earned a master’s degree in business administration from Auburn University.

Paul DeSmet

Executive Vice President

Paul DeSmet joined LINE-X LLC in May of 1999 after 16 years of active duty service in the U.S. Navy. In December 2009, DeSmet was promoted to Executive Vice President in charge of Strategic Development. Previously, DeSmet had been involved in all aspects of business including technical support, website development, franchise sales, and franchise support. He has served as the company’s General Manager and Director of Operations prior to his current position.

While on active duty, he served as a Nuclear Power Instructor, a nuclear trained officer on submarines, Submarine Operations Officer on the Eisenhower Battle Group Staff, and Director of Training at the Submarine Training Facility in Norfolk, VA. After joining LINE-X, he continued his service in the Navy Reserves, retiring in July 2010 at the rank of Captain. While in the reserves, he served as the Commander of Navy Reserve Destroyer Squadron Forty and was later assigned to the NATO Allied Command Transformation HQ as a staff officer.

Tim Garner

Chief Financial Officer

LINE-X Protective Coatings, GFX

Tim Garner joined LINE-X Protective Coatings in June 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Tim is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of LINE-X and GFX. This includes accounting, finance, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Tim brings with him more than 29 years of experience and leadership from within the financial industry, excelling in business growth and turnaround. Previously, Tim served as Chief Financial Officer of Big 10 Tires and Services, a chain of automotive tire and service stores, and a portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners, a large private equity firm. Before his time at Big 10/Sun Capital, Tim was the Senior Vice President of Konica Minolta Printing Solutions U.S.A.

Tim earned a BS in Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Mississippi.

George Lezon

Executive Vice President of Operations

George Lezon joined LINE-X Protective Coatings in April 2007 as Vice President of Operations. Lezon is responsible for implementing and optimizing business practices across all areas of the LINE-X network of over 500 franchised locations, including training and development. He leverages his considerable experience in both the franchised business community and major company-owned automotive aftermarket operations to help fuel the continued growth of LINE-X.

Prior to joining LINE-X, Lezon directed regional operations in the Southwestern United States for MAACO Enterprises, Inc., a franchised vehicle collision repair company. He also spent nearly nine years with Pep Boys, a leading automotive parts and service chain. As Director of Service Operations, Lezon oversaw Pep Boys’ system and personnel operations across more than 600 service departments nationwide.

Lezon attended Salisbury State College in Salisbury, MD, with an emphasis in business administration.
