LINE-X is expanding in a big way this spring with a new location near Huntsville International Airport.
The company recently built a new 60,000-square-foot corporate facility on 301 James Record Road to accommodate its growing business. The structure is more than 20,000 square feet larger than the previous location on Sparkman Drive.
Construction took four months to complete with assistance from Fuqua & Partners Architects, Joe Still Building Company and Armstrong Relocation Services. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County on April 27.
"LINE-X has been expanding quickly in both franchise locations and manufacturing services around the world," said spokeswoman Cristin Liveoak. "We exceeded the available space at the Sparkman location."
LINE-X's Huntsville staff is already working in the James Record Road building, while the warehouse crew is completing its move this week. The site features a research and development lab and a 30,000-square-foot warehouse for material production, storage, and shipping/receiving for international and domestic orders.
Liveoak said it also has a state-of-the-art training facility for LINE-X franchisees and applicators, lifestyle decor and modern furnishings, two high-production spray booths, a product testing area, executive and staff offices, and room to grow.
"The LINE-X brand has grown steadily in recent years, fueling the need for larger facilities, production capability, product research and development, warehousing and staffing," she said.
LINE-X provides protective coatings and high-performance spray-on bedliners and accessories. The business moved its headquarters from Santa Ana, Calif., to Huntsville in 2009.
The company, which was ranked No. 1 in the Miscellaneous Auto Parts and Services category of Entrepreneur Magazine's 2017 Franchise 500 list, has more than 550 franchise locations in more than 60 countries.
