The Technical Training Manager will take ownership of the development & implementation of Franchisee training for all technical aspects of LINE-X spray on bedliners, LINE-X branded products and other accessory installation. This role will advise on bedliner application, install & troubleshoot GRACO machines, devise and lead onsite demonstrations, create learning material for LINE-X’s online Learning Management System, and serve as a troubleshooting resource for Franchisees and LINE-X Support Center personnel. The Technical Training Manager will also drive accessories sales by leveraging product knowledge with marketing, operations and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive training for Franchise owners & operators to ensure the quality and consistency of LINE-X bedliner application across the organization.
- Provides in-center on-site installation of new Graco spray machines (Fusion ProConnect, Fusion AP & Probler 2, etc.)
- Conduct on-site training for new Franchise owners & other stakeholders on every step of the bed liner application process, including equipment use, surface preparation, application techniques, coating correction & repair and coating removal
- Instruct personnel on LINE-X brand standards related to product application
- Coach personnel on proper surface preparation techniques, substrate preparation & application requirements
- Demonstrate appropriate safety measures, compliant with brand standards, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Review failed coatings to identify cause and correction methods
- Provide technical training on new/updated processes, equipment, and chemical applications
Serve as the resident expert in bedliner technical information
- Respond to Inquiries from Technical hotline during assigned hours, including rotating shifts outside of normal work hours as assigned
- Advise personnel on warranty eligibility and other warranty-related inquiries
- Remain current on the latest LINE-X programs and bedliner product lines
Provide GRACO equipment operations and maintenance support
- Recommendations specific equipment based on the unique needs of each Franchise operation
- Provides in-center on-site installation of new Graco spray machines (Fusion ProConnect, Fusion AP & Probler 2, etc)
- Advise owners & operators on effective preventative maintenance recommendations
- Assist with emergency troubleshooting & equipment repairs
Develop and maintain accurate training material & hands-on technical training for each Core Service Category (LINE-X bedliners and accessory installation services)
- Retain visibility into market changes, new products or updated guidelines
- Create comprehensive materials to distribute information to Franchisees and FSC team members, including updated technical manuals
- Coordinate with the Training department to ensure training resources – both online and in-person - fit the needs of the organization

Contribute to onsite training sessions
Drive LINE-X initiatives by leveraging training opportunities & resources
- Drive the sale of LINE-X Branded Products through training efforts, including outlining product advantages over competitors

Support the Core Services Line-Up by providing comprehensive training resources in each category, existing and future
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years bedliner (polyurethane/polyurea coating) application or similar application
- 1-3 years in automotive accessory installation

1-3 years training experience
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with driving record acceptable for company vehicle driver insurance
Preferred
- Associates degree in automotive accessory installation or related field preferred
- Franchise network experience preferred
- Training content creation & distribution via multiple media formats, including written, video, in-person preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
- Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timeline and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Working Conditions
- This role is available to remote employees
- Up to 50%+ travel: visiting training sites, franchise locations, attending trade shows, visiting manufacturers, etc.
- Infrequent exposure to industrial manufacturing, automotive vehicles, weather elements, chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment must be always worn during spray operations.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

- Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 dependent upon experience and other factors
