My name is Dennis Weese and I am currently the President of LINE-X, a global leader in protective coatings, spray-on bedliners and truck accessories in the automotive aftermarket. As a former U.S. Army officer, helicopter pilot and alumnus of the United States Military Academy at West Point, it is an absolute honor to head a leadership team at LINE-X with so many talented people among its ranks - all of whom have done their part in creating an organization that’s made such an immense impact across our industry and related industries.
It’s through the work of this team that we’ve been able to enact positive growth for the brand – with more than 500 franchise locations in North America and distributors in more than 50 countries. The LINE-X brand is renowned for it’s quality and reputation in multiple segments across the automotive aftermarket. Helping the most passionate Jeep enthusiasts customize their vehicle’s exterior or providing truck owners with the ultimate in bedliner protection is what excites our brand and people. We love helping customers protect what is important to them. As a team we are passionate about our countless manufacturing partners and customers around the globe that rely on LINE-X for the most extreme, mission-critical applications. They constantly engage us for solutions and innovation, a challenge that the LINE-X team embraces and responds to effectively.
It’s with this passion, a first-hand view of the industry and a vision for an even bigger future that I would work with colleagues on the SEMA Board of Directors to foster an environment of innovation, growth and evolution for the industry. Passage of the RPM act, exposing counterfeiting and making sure that our industry has access to business loans are just some of the issues that I am immensely committed to making a reality. With experience leading a diverse set of organizations, I will do everything in my power to prepare SEMA to meet the challenges of the future.
My track record in leadership has been successful and very diverse. A member of the Board of Managers for Innovative XCessories & Services, LLC (“IXS”) – the parent company to LINE-X – I also currently serve as an Advisory Council Member for the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. Prior to joining LINE-X, I served as President and COO of Cash America International, a publicly traded company on the NYSE {CSH}. Various other past leadership positions include PepsiCo, Limited Brands, and Brinker International; in addition I served on the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl and the Leadership Council for Harris Methodist Hospital of Fort Worth. I am immensely humbled and honored to have been nominated for the SEMA Board of Directors. If I’m fortunate enough to be able to serve, I will utilize my diverse leadership background and passion for the automotive aftermarket to truly push SEMA to even greater heights.
